When we bought a period home a few years ago we wanted to do justice to the house and create a classic look but with an edge, which reflected our style and captured our originality.
We have always loved antique and vintage furniture. Over the years we have been drawn to its style, quality and the stories these pieces hold of their past lives. We started scouring auctions and antique shops to source well-made, quirky pieces to restore, repurpose or upcycle to get the look we desired for our home.
As well as quality and style, buying vintage and antique furniture meant we were staying true to our environmentally-friendly values. We are aware newly manufactured furniture can come at a high cost to the environment compared to antique and vintage furniture.
Despite our home now being furnished with beautiful pieces, we just could not give up our search for furniture that captured the skills and craftsmanship of the artisans who built the pieces in the past. Hence, Pepperpot Rose was born.
